Say NO to the violation of rights at the circus!

Human rights and animal rights have been an integral part of the recent evolution of circuses and circus arts in general.

For example, the strains or conditions in animals or humans, were part of a morbid spectacle, pejoratively referred to as events. A famous case was that of the "Elephant Man". Althoughbanned in many parts of the world, in some others, these shows continue in a separate and parallel to some fairs or carnivals.

Regarding the rights of animals, numerous NGOs defending the rights of animals, citizensand groups sensitized to the issue, like vegans who do not just slam the treatment given toanimals that are used in a circus, if not the fact that they disapprove of removing animals from their natural habitat against their will, lock them up and use them as objects for training. Therefore, campaign to ask people not to go to circuses that use is made of animales. In Spain, this controversy took center stage to denounce the state of the animals in the circustrainer Angel Christ.

It is also alleged that in many circuses behaviors commonly seen as the caged animals that do not stop the elephants around or move their heads from side to side continuously, are signs of psychological distress these animals washed into life in the circus. Therefore, some countries have banned the use of certain species, such as India, where in 2009 it banned the use of elephants in circuses and in both zoos, 6 or in others, like Canada, Sweden, Denmark and Bolivia, as well as in several cities in other states, where it is forbidden to use any animals in circuses.
